    Hi there,

I have a question about the typical salary for a maintenance man/gardener. We live in a 39 unit complex that has a man work 5 1/2 days per week. He does the light maintenance, gardening including mowing and trimming every two weeks and pool maintenance/cleaning daily. I would like to know what others are paying since we vote on an increase every year for him and just gave him one last month but he is asking for another. Can someone give me an idea of what their condo complex is paying for this type of work? We are having on yearly assembly soon and I would like to bring some information with me.

    Thanks,

    E.B.

We have 50 houses here and we pay 500 a month maintenance, that covers the security guards and the gardening and pool maintenance. Typically a gardener will get 100-200 pesos a job which could be a good few hours work. Can't tell you anymore than that i'm afraid.

5000 pesos a month would be an average non skilled workers pay. If he's been there a long time it might be a little more.
