    Hi all,

If you see a Boxer dog which is brown with tiger stripes roaming around can you let me know please. His name is Phano and he got lost from my girlfriends house in SM45 about 9.30 pm last night.

    Thanks
    Mat

The dog was found, pretty smashed up by a taxi (who drove off and left it) in the paseo cancun parking lot.

Some girls took it to a vet and then spent all day today knocking on every house until they found the right one - there are some really good people in this world! :D

An operation is needed so lets hope the old fella survives.

How's SeƱor Pooch doing? Sorry to hear what happened, hope he's feeling better! How nice to hear that folks went out of their way to find his owner, wow!

Yep - he came home today - his leg's about 3 times the size than it should be still and he looked like he'd been crying a lot, but he was happy to be home.

    Thanks for your concern.

Glad to hear that he's pulled through. Please tell him we all wish him a full recovery and that we hope he won't take off like that again.

This story is certainly an argument for keeping a collar with ID tags on your dog 24 hours a day. My husband is always taking the collars off our dogs when they come into the house, but I think they'd be safer if they wore them 100% of the time. Of course, even with a collar on there's no guarantee that anyone would actually LOOK at the tags...but still.
