We are a new website looking for a videographer to create 10 videos of 2-3 minutes each. The videos would be "town profiles" covering Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Cozumel and the other major towns along the Maya Riviera. You can see a sample video here: http://www.redguide.com/mexico/puerto-vallarta-nayarit/old-town-vallarta In general we want to maintain the same style and approach combining location shots with man-on-the-street interviews, but we’re also open to new ideas. Videographer would be responsible for editing and all other post-production, as well as for supplying your own camera and sound equipment. We will cover consumables (videotape), travel expenses and salary. In addition, we have a small budget for an assistant or interviewer. This paid project doesn’t have to become a running gig, but it could turn into one. Our need for a videographer is ongoing, and we’ll be looking to assign video work regularly (similar to what’s described above, as well as longer-form, more open-ended work) in the months to come. Our ideal candidate is resourceful, and a quick study—someone who knows the area well. Fluent Spanish will naturally be an asset but is not required, since all interviews will be conducted in English. It will also be crucial to work efficiently, editing on the fly and in-camera as much as possible, as we want to get all content edited and published on the site within several weeks of shooting. Interested parties please forward resume and video samples to jed@redguide.com. Thanks. Jed Payne Senior Editor Mx(55) 3692.4165 ext.105 US(210) 888.9396 ext. 105 jed@redguide.com
