Looking for best price for a 'single' person (Temptation)

Hi everyone! My hubby and I are booked at Temptation for 2/23 - 2/28 and my sis wants to go and she thought she had a friend to go too - but now the friend is cancelling so is there anyone that has any idea of what's the best place to book for her 'by herself' in a room 'by herself'?

It seems the best price I've been able to find is like $1300 or $1400 so I'm like totally freakin' out (unless I can convinnce her friend to get on board for the fun ) ......

I always book on Orbitz..they have the best packages for singles. They often have coupon codes. I recently used one that got $200 off a 6 night package to Mexico..so do a search for coupon codes.

 

Bookit.com has pretty good deals, and it lets you make payments as opposed to all at once. I've used them twice and had no problems. I would have used them for my next one, but it was too close.

You can often times use a travel agent and they can shop the best deal for you and most will also take payment plans. $1300 is about right for 7 days, but I've seen it as low as $950 for an 'off week'.

 

go to sidestep.com and put in the dates right now I am seeing Temptation for 128 bucks a night. So it would only be 600 bucks for her. I would book it Asap though. I went on that site and got a room for 99 bucks a night and the next day it went up like 30 bucks. the site will direct you to the website with that rate. That rate will include tax and everything

 

That rate was for the exact dates you are going..........the website it will direct you to is gtahotels.com...........ANYTIME you need a hotel go to this site it is so much better than just going to Orbitz or Expedia. It directs you to the lowest price hotel

She will be basically paying $1000 for a 'single' rate room (not ocean delux I dont believe...) - but then that's booking airfare and hotel separate (airfare to get on our flights is 361 .... so that is exactly what she would have paid with another person so I think I should book it right ???

I would book it asap. I am sure when it directs you to the site you can change the room. It might cost more. You could also go with the cheap room and then upgrade when you get to the hotel. Glad I could help ya out

1800hotels.com has a single rate this morning for $786.81 incl. tax USD for 2/23/10 - 2/28/10. Garden view room. Found through bookingbuddy.com

We always use vacationstogo.com. It is always around $750 per person including air from Newark NJ. for 6 nights. We always opt for the cancel for any reason insurance which is $80 pp more. It also includes transportation from airport to resort and back. We also select direct flights to avoid airport delays. If you can be flexible and choose you dates sometimes delaying by only a few days makes a big differance. We have aleays had good luck, although we had to cancel our last trip and it took 6 weeks to get our refund.
