We have now been on our inaugural trip and popped our cherry with a stick of dynamite! We absolutely loved it. Now we have been home for three days and planning our next trip. We will definitely be back in June with the June Junkies! One fantastic group of people! What we are curious about is the member referral weeks as we are interested in possibly using one next year. We have some idea how it works and that is summed up by this: Member gives us a referral week, our room rate is discounted. We are asked/expected to sit through the timeshare presentation so that the member gets paid. Then we receive the benefits of being a member. So the questions are in the details, if the above is correct. What is the discounted rate? What benefits do we receive that week? All the benefits of a regular member? i.e.-White wristbands, premiere pool areas/seating, premiere menu options and alcohol, ability to reserve the yacht? You understand it perfectly. the discounted rate is approx 25% and you get a week of all the perks as a trial test run. The idea is you like it soo much you opt to buy a membership. This is how many members became members, so referal weeks are popular and productive. And yes, we are long-time premiere members Best tip: if you are serious about buying is use an experienced member who can help walk you thru the process to avoid surprises and help temper expectations. A lot of erroneous info out there.
Our Referrals do not have yacht privileges. I can't say definitively that some older contracts might not have something about that in them but I have not heard of such a thing.
