our Delta flight was late from Atlanta, when we arrived at CUN there was a 1 hour and 15 wait at immigration. There were only 3 stations open !!!! On top of that our Delta Flight crew had misinformed several passengers by telling them NOT to fill out the bottom portion of the immagration form. Caused a huge traffic jam getting off the plane. Got the RED light a customs. Finally arrived at TTR at 10 PM, upgraded to oceanview. Things are looking up !!!
We waited about an hour through immigration a few years back. Would've been fine, but I had a litre bottle of amaretto that threatened to break through it's duty-free plastic bag after 5 mins. By the time we got out of the airport, USA Transfers thought that we'd ditched them, we were so late! I've found now that you can't win. Last trip we were through immigration in 5 mins, then waited 50 mins for the bags to show up! There's no quick way through if you've got checked in luggage. Can't go without, with all the theme nights to participate in!
