Hi all who read and thank you for doing do I'm planning on heading over on the above date for one full week and will be flying solo. I just want to get a feel for the place in general. From what I've read it sounds very friendly and riotous fun and games! Not my cup of tea at all... What is the weather like at this time of year? Do many holiday/vacation here at this time of year? I've never left Europe before so am not up to speed with that side of the world! I manly visit Prague, Amsterdam and Ibiza and want to see how Cancun stacks up! The aforementioned places will take some beating as party places.... is this fighting talk Cancun?! I sincerely hope people reply to this and it'd be nice to maybe get to know a few people that plan to go around the same dates. Many thanks in advance Ryan
Ryan, the weather at that time of year should be great. As far as being an unattatched male, I think you will find that going as a "Lone Ranger" is the best way to go. Groups of single men seem to develope the hunting pack mentality, which gets them nothing but a bad rep. Any single guys by themselves that we have met on past trips have always had a great time meeting plenty of people and having fun. (see posts from Zurk, backs 13, etc.)
@bolded - I wholeheartedly agree. Single guys seem to end up knowing EVERYBODY. They're like Norm on Cheers whenever they go somewhere.
Anytime is a popular time at TR-you will not be vacationing alone! It is an easy place to be solo. While TR is mostly couples, there are always some singles around. If you like the clubs, go out with the Entertainment staff to the club of the night. You'll meet alot of people there that you might miss at the pool. To meet others that will be there the same time as you, get an avatar picture on your profile! Then put your dates up on the Singles Roll call sticky and for the appropriate month!

I have been going solo to TTR for more than 5 years now. I would never even remotely consider staying anywhere else. I have never had any problems meeting and making new friends. In fact, I think I have made more friends going by myself than when I go used to go with my ex-girlfriend. I also have been to Ibiza once and even though I did enjoy it and liked it a lot (both the beaches and the nightlife) I can honestly say that the nightlife in Cancun is much better the Ibiza !! Yes, if you are planning on going out, do go out with the staff as they take you to a different club every night. I am going back solo again on the last week of June for 2 weeks and I absolutely cannot wait for it !!
hi ryan well I live in ibiza so I have to say you cant beat ibiza clubs lol... but I have been to cancun on vacation every year for the past 12 years, and love it, especially temptations. do post in the singles thread and get chatting to other singles, thats how most of our early december singles group met originally. pm me if you have any questions xx:icon_smile:
