There is a very big difference between a vacation cub and timeshare. With timeshare you have a deed to a property, and you can trade weeks and such to go to other properties. A vacation club, which I have had, is waaaay better. I know the one I belonged to....we purchased 15 weeks/ split between 6 people, and we have a catalog to pick where we want to stay. We own nothing and once the weeks are gone, we are done. Just my two sense. I have ZERO ties to this company. I felt a need to somewhat defend them per my experience.
Tori-You have confirmed to me basically the fact that you buy x number of weeks for vacation and once done you have nothing. So you spent money to use their facitilites if available and if you want to keep going back to the same place. Time shares have the same idea except for the fact that in some cases you get a deed to the property. But the difference in the time shares is that you can resell it, or keep it for the rest of your life and not be tied into x number of weeks. Either way a bad deal in my book and a bad way to spend your money especially nowdays with the economy the way it is. By the way I understand your non ties to the company. No issues there.
