Sadly, the guys who sell the hotels copycat cruise have been telling everyone for the last month that Chinos is still working their cruises and leaving people disappointed when he isn't actually there. Of course, all us cancuncare folk have known for a while that Chinos is undergoing some very serious treatment for cancer which means he has been out of town Mon-Fri for the last month and that he isn't scheduled for any cruises at the moment. His surprise appearance on our Sunday April 29 Boobs Cruise was a huge bonus for those who went and, more importantly, for him - because he loves our groups. As Keith mentions, we too saw the group of 25 heading out to the hotels cruise on Tuesday - approx 23 guys, 2 girls. Omar hasnt been doing the hotels cruise recently either, he's not been on the last four. The copycat cruise has been getting low numbers and were switched to smaller boats than our Boobs Cruise uses. The electrics on the smaller boats are not sufficient to power the sound system we use on the bigger boats and Omar feels if he cant do his job properly and there's the wrong type of crowd he'd rather not do it at all. I also heard from half a dozen people that when the sales guys try to sell the hotels cruise and people reply they are not interested because they are already booked on our boobs cruise they are told "oh you are another one that Steve managed to rip off". If you're on the younger side they tell you that our cruise is full of old people, if you're on the older side they tell you that our cruise is full of young people. Not a subject I really wanted to get into in public, but if the TTR sales guys are lying and taking advantage of people like Chinos and Omar then it's probably right I expose a few truths, so that other cancuncare folk don't have unrealistic expectations from those who dont give a shit, but just want a few extra dollars in their pocket at the end of the week.
Steve, so very true, while I was there the hotel guys came up and tried their sales pitch to Jeremy and myself. I let them say their sales pitch then told them I am already booked on your cruise AGAIN and knew Chino would not be there. They did not counter anything I said, but just walked away. You have an amazing business going and do an outstanding job! The numbers of repeat customers you have and word of mouth will keep your Boob cruise going strong. Those that have been and will continue to go on your cruises know the truth and will continue to give you their business. Just looking though the posts and Trip reports is proof, almost all highlights from their trips were your cruises! Keep up the great work, to you and your crew. You will always have my business when I am down there, and I will keep spreading the word!!!!!! We not only see you as a business man but, you and Janet as friends!!!!
i'm very sorry you had to call them out. i know it is not something you want to do or take lightly, but it must be done. i look forward to thoroughly listening to their pitch, and promptly poking gaping holes in it!
Not to fret Steve. I know you won't see anyone from the June Junkies group signing up for the Generic Imitation. Jessica and i have done that cruise 2 other times, once while at Desire and once from TTR before w even knew of CCC, and we couldn't wait to get back to shore and felt as if we gave a day of vacation away each time. I don't like the thought of leaving TTR and the pool even for a moment. But your cruise we eagerly look forward to as, we are just moving the party from the sexy pool to the catamaran, and our whole group will get buck wild on the ocean instead of in the pool. We'llbe on your boat, both on the 9th and 14th. Look forward to meeting you, and what's the discount again for2nd cruise? 4 days till we can put our deposit down, and 34 days til that catamaran will never be the same!
That guy approached us as well and tried to say he had the only boob cruise, I told him if it didn't have Steve's name infront of it then it wasn't the boob cruise we are going on. He was pretty ignorant as well. As stated in my review earlier, alot of cats left with dissappointment on their faces when they saw Steve's Boob cruise going by. Thanks again Steve for an awesome time.
Steve, your great personality and hard work and your drive to make your CCC friends VERY happy is what makes us keep coming back for YOUR Boobs Cruise. No one can copy or immitate your cruise and Im sure you can see by the response from this thread that we are there to support YOU, Janet, Omar, Chinos and the rest of YOUR staff...WE ARE FAITHFUL and we all LOVE you guys! TTR just isnt the same without a STEVES Boobs Cruise! Ill never forget when we lost our Boobscruise VIRGINITY...other resorts and excursions will NEVER measure up so Ill just continue to book Cancun and hope to land one of your cruises xxoo See you May 16th or before hopefully
