Hey guys! I have a few questions for you all, who all seem like Cancun veterans! Myself and a few friends are planning on coming all the way over from Australia next March for Spring Break! We are looking at coming maybe the last week of March at the moment, How is this time of year party-wise and crowd-wise? I read in one of the other threads that Tiesto played there late March so i'm guessing there is still a lot of people around. When do they usually have the MTV parties? Or is it different every year? Second question, where can you guys recommend to stay? We are after somewhere smack-bang in the middle of all the action! A place that doesn't mind us partying all night and all day long! We aren't too fussy how "nice" the place is, if it means we can do what we want. What sort of prices are we to expect? And lastly, I've been trawling the forums here and seen a few people talking about wristbands and not being able to go to certain areas and hotels? How does this all work, and is it something we need to look into before we head over? Thanks for your help guys, sorry if they are stupid questions, but hey, most of my Spring Break knowledge come from teen comedy movies! I'm expecting a lot of red cups!
Hey! welcome to the boards!!!!! March is always a good time to go to Cancun, its Cancun's highest season, even when most of us will be going the first or second week, Cancun is crowded all they way to the last week of April, peak week is generally the second week of March, but having people around wont be a problem I've been to 3 spring breaks in Cancun and never seen an MTV party, i think the last party there was back in 2007 but i might be wrong, every year i hear that they are coming back, but this year, they went to Acapulco instead, and about Tiesto, that was just pure luck lol they have artists there and the most popular are there for the first weeks... About a place to stay if you dont care if its not the best hotel ever, you will hear it from a lot of people OASIS is the party hotel to be at... hopefully ill stay there next year too If you stay at Grand Oasis you wont have a problem, you will get a black wristband and that gives you access to the whole property, all the restaurants, bars, pools, rooms, whatever, BUT if you are staying at regular Oasis you will get a purple wristband and there will be some restaurants and bars you wont be able to go to... anyway, the best places to be at during the day are the beach and the pool, you will do fine... Also, if you are staying in another hotel you can get a daypass, around 25-30 USD and you get to be there from 10 AM to 6 PM, you wont have access to everywhere but you will still have fun. Also, try and check the rest of the posts and use the search option, a lot of the newbies questions have been answered there. :lotsofmichaelfs:
