late July a decent time?

    Hi all...newbie here and thinking of going for our anniversary which is July 31. Is that a good time to go..everything still happening or is it real slow crowd wise. We want to meet plenty of new friends, etc. It will be our first time at anything like this. Thanks for any replies!
