Late Check Out

I hear they charge $10usd per hour for late check out? Is this true and if so how much advance notice do you need to give them

 

You can hang around for free without a room. They hold your luggage at bellhop station.

And if I'm not mistaken you can use the showers in the spa to wash up prior to leaving the resort so you don't smell like chlorine on the airplane unless you want to as it reminds you of the great time you had

I'd check with the front desk since they cut off your armband when you checkout.
You won't be able to get drinks or really participate in anything without the armband.
I'd go ahead and pay for the late checkout. They do deserve payment for the extra alchohol and food you will consume.
Just a thought.

 

They will give you a receipt and that will allow you full access just like the wrist band. At least it did for us the past 3 trips.

 

What we have done is put our luggage (and passports) in a friends room, rather than at the bellhop station. But if you are members you can leave your personal stuff in the VIP office. They will allow you to leave the wristband on but you have to agree to go to the desk before your taxi arrives and have the band cut off. We have done that twice, the once was for a 9pm flight

 

Good Deal! My wife and I are traveling back to TTR in January and have a 6:45 PM flight. Would much rather prefer to hang out at the resort than the Airport!

They cut your band, but they give you a ticket that you use for the rest of the day for drinks etc. I don't agree that you should pay extra for consuming food and alcohol on your last day. Our flights always arrive around 3pm, so we're not at the resort until 5pm at the earliest, so that 's a full day we've paid for that we aren't using the facilities.

We've left luggage in friend's rooms before now. Feels more secure than just sat out in the lobby all day.

Personally I prefer leaving earlier. Few trips back we had a flight at 7:15pm and didn't leave the resort until around 3. By 12 we were just ready to go, as we had everything packed up, and it was raining, so couldn't sit out by the pool. We just sat in the lobby and tried to rest up until the transfer arrived.
