been there , done that, wish the weather was better. all in all trip ok, considering, the beaches were closed ( red flags ) the last day december 30th 2010, one man DID drown at hotel solaris.. the life guard kept blowing his whistle, to keep folks in one little area, guess the under tow, and or big wave slammed him? first night i took bus down to playa de ? something where the road splits , shops in middle, was approached to buy CHEECH n CHONG at tshirt shop, but he wanted $150 ..i declined offer....next day a taxi driver got the same for only $60. my trip was all inclusive, so i did not venture out to eat, next time i will, food was bland, but plenty of it ! resort was only 3 star due to 20 yr old age? but i rate it better. was beautiful. but i am sure it did not compare to thers. i seen this mansion where i was told a famous futball ( soccer ) player lives. built on beach inbetween resorts. ONE FINAL QUESTION how do i as american find a job selling timesheres there? i would like to stay longer, find good weather, food and do STUFF. 3 days was a JOKE.
It is a pretty challenging endeavor to get a job in Mexico if you are not a citizen. I did know of a few American and Canadian ex-pats who did find jobs, but the pay was low, the hours long, and they eventually wound up leaving. Not to deter you, but I think your best bet to get info on how to find work selling time-share resorts in Cancun would be to post your questions on the Living Here bulletin board: Living in Cancun & Riviera Maya Forum | Cancuncare Forum 212eric (Author)
