Our ultra crappy Dell Inspiron m3050 is giving up... for the 2nd time(spent nearly a year fighting with Dell for them replacing the motherboard that was faulty when the laptop was built...) in less than 2 years. Where do most people find "decent" deals for decent laptops here in CUN? We did this bucket of crap through Telmex, paying a rather "small" fee on our monthly bill, but the extra one pays over the regular price, is kind of crap("No shit Sherlock, its Telmex..." ) Note: I mean strictly Cancun - dont have the option to fly to US right now etc.
Rawkus-just have to tell you i have the same "piece of crap computer" and..same thing happened to me-bought it is Stated -one month out of warrenty motherboard went out-fixed it used two more weeks -same thing, threw it in the garbage lucky i had a spare toshiba-Not sure if ill ever buy dell again
bt: I know! Im done with Dell, forever. Their COMPLETE lack of so called customer service was really eyeopening. All my posts on their forum about the stupid motherboard dying, got deleted and in the end, I got blocked(!!) They never even provided me with the details of Dell Mexico that I needed, so PROFECO stepped in and helped. It took some 8 or 9 months of arguing before they, A: Admitted that "yes, it is a problem from the maker..." and B: Agreed to replace the motherboard... I will never, ever speak well of Dell again, ever. When this dies(its on its last few weeks...) I shall smash it to bits after removing all the stuff that can be used.
I can have an ask around here to see what the border fairies have trolled over, usually some really good deals around this time of year, if you want?
