Enough is enough. I don’t post that much but do enjoy catching up on what’s going on at TTR and keeping in touch with friends. One reason that everyone enjoys TTR as well as Cancuncare is the fun loving people and the lack of drama. We all have drama and people like LadynTramp in our daily lives that most of the time we don’t have control over. I used to enjoy a small “get away” by logging into Cancuncare but since LadynTramp has been on, it reminded me of the days of Dave and Ellie and how it had everyone in an uproar with all their drama. I have also been noticing some other “new” profiles popping up that their posts have a “negative/annoying/sexual” reading just like LadynTramp and the old Dave and Ellie with some of the same wording and phrases. I for one know that the old Dave and Ellie and LadynTramp are one in the same and if Dave and Ellie were banded from Cancuncare in the past, then way let them back on. One suggestion would be in your profile and as a condition of being a member; you have to give your real name and address. That may stop some of the drama. Steve you run a great website and provide a great service, but all it takes is one person or group (like the large single groups) to ruin the whole experience of not only this forum but the whole TTR vibe. We have never had a negative experience at TTR and have made some great lifetime friends but I will say that as a newbie, if we had logged in before going to TTR and read posts from Dave and Ellie or LadynTramp we would have never tried TTR or joined Cancuncare in the first place because we were looking for a “adult getaway from all the real world drama”. I know that I’m stirring the pot by writing this, but I thought it needed to be said. Steve told us how to block the post, so does that work on PM’s also. Scott
I'm sure a IP Address search would show if the 2 were the same, sounds like you have a valid point here, maybe worth looking into also.
Its only drama if you let it be. Truth is the world is full of dicks, while its unfortunate its the way it is. I suggest dealing with it the same way we deal with all the dicks in our lives. Don't pay attention and move on. Well that and take the odd trip to Cancun to unwind
We all have our quarks ( things that bother us). Not defending her or criticizing you for not liking her posts , but there is a block function on here.
I know what you are saying and we do. My main point for the post is one...if they were band in the past, why let them (him) back on and two for someone new coming to Cancuncare to check out TTR and the people, they may think this is the norm and not the exception.
I think we need to be a little careful as this is a public forum with only Steve as owner serving as a moderator. I would suggest your concerns being addressed PRIVATLY with him or you risk being categorized in the same manner as someone who is creating drama. I personally love the positive posts and try and ignore some that aren't as enlightening. But just like at Temptations, where the theme is Nobody Knows you and Nobody Cares. We need to allow that same freedom of expression on here.
I too love all the positive posts and have no problem with negative posts when done in the right manner. However, I see that you are new and didn't live through the days of Dave and Ellie. Anyone who did, knows what I'm talking about. Just do a search for posts on them and you will see what I'm talking about and how it had the forum in turmoil. People were getting threaten and I know some couples were afraid to even post when they were going, afraid that Dave and Ellie were going to follow them to TTR. That's no way to live. I just felt that all the facts need to be put out, because Dave and Ellie . and Lady and the Tramp are one in the same. And I again make my point, we checked out TTR by going to Cancuncare to see what we were getting into. If you read the Dave and Ellie posts, the LadynTramp are heading in the same directions were people are getting upset and that's not fair to someone new checking things out. Just to set the record straight, there is no her in the posts. She is a very calm and reserved person.
Again.....It's a public forum. You can post what and how you like as well as myself. It is just MY belief that you should take your concerns to Steve as none of the other posters are in a position to do anything about it. Publicly discussing it is likely to lead to exactly what you are asking not to be done. Again.....just my opinion.
I havent been ignoring this thread. I first read it last night and decided to let it run for a while to see if the feedback matched my own views and it seems that it largely does. I would agree that it would have been better discussed via PM, but since it is in the open here is my viewpoint. A forum cant be run by 'mob rule' and have people voting on who gets kicked and who doesn't. There are rules, some written (in the terms you agree to when you register) and some unwritten that aren't always cast in stone and need a flexible approach. I agree LadynTramp sail close to the line sometimes and I have followed up via a PM to them on occasion - and I did that recently. As a result they stopped using the annoying bold text and also apologised in the Sarah is leaving thread. They do often rub people up the wrong way and can be irritating. But rubbing people up the wrong way and being irritating is not a criteria to be banned - that is a personal issue not a forum management issue. The best thing to do if you find someone annoying and dont wish to see their posts is to use the ignore function, this will also block the person from sending you PM's. I gave them that second chance with a warning that I would be watching closely and they have certainly not been as obnoxious as before this time around, although definitely 'could do better'..... as my teachers always told me. Re posting from multiple accounts, it is very easy to do a reverse ip lookup from the admin panel and and discover all accounts posting from the same ip address. They haven't posted from other accounts this time around, although did before. The suggestion (in the first post) re a requirement to post a real name and address in your profile would kill the forum I feel. While some of the longer term members would probably not mind, new members would be very wary of it and not take part at all. And how could any such information be verified as accurate anyway? And if it were accurate how much real life stalking might that facilitate? I try to run the forum as well as I can and try to make sure that I keep a balanced and fair approach to controversial issues that arise from time to time. I have been doing so for over 10 years now - and we have got fairly popular so I guess I am doing ok. I appreciate that my way may not be the way everyone else would do it, but at the end of the day someone has to make the policy decisions and on this particular forum it is me, for better or worse. Hopefully LadyNTramp will read this thread and hopefully play a little nicer in our sand box in future.
