Wahey, First Time in Cancun in July, and I’m bringing some friends along to party with me. I'm absolutely buzzin! Were all from UK and we know how to get the parties started and how to carry them on. Let me make this very clear and easy for you to understand: We’re going to get drunk, so so drunk, party like we’ve never partied (and we’ve partied far to much), and going to try and meet the whole of Cancun in the two short weeks were spending there.
For all you Cancun Pros out there, my questions are.. (in no particular order) Laptop.. do I bring it.. do I not.. I solely want it for music.. yes I no an iPod can do the same, but it just doesn’t beat a laptop.. I’m not bothered about the carrying half way across the world, I took it with me to Australia in the two years I spent there, and had no problems with leaving it in hostel rooms, however, being an unknown, I’m wondering is it going to be safe.. well as safe as safe can be.. ya know what I mean, leaving it in rooms etc.
Ok, I’ve also been thinking, we’ve gone for top floor rooms in our hotel, in Hein site, I’m now thinking perhaps we shoulda gone closer to ground floor.. Well, the ground floor, because I’m thinking, your closer to the pool, are there more parties on that floor? And while we’re on rooms, what’s the safety restrictions like for top floor room balconies? Do cleaners get shitty with mess from parties in your room? There’s nothing worse than shitty cleaners stomping round your mess when your trying to sleep off your hangovers?
Drugs.. Some of you may not agree with this, but hey, were going to take them, im sorry for any offence this may cause any of you reading, but for the ones who can offer advice, what prices/availability are we looking at for your party drugs. Do the locals or hotel workers mind you having a joint around the pool or on the beach? Oh, locals, how are they with English people?
Were all inclusive, can we literally abuse this privallage and perch at the bar all day? Im guessing we’d be best to tip the barmen to get good service, but what price we looking at? And can you do carry outs from the bars. I.e. I don’t want just a shot of tequila, can I take the bottle of tequila, perhaps to my room and carry on drinking?
Rite I think that’s me done for now! Adios Amigos!

OK... I wrote a great response and it deleted itself... WTF!!!!!!!!!
    AGAIN........
What Hotel are you staying at? Really the Oasis is the only place that allows any crazy room parties.
If you are only brining your laptop for music, just do an ipod and external speaker. Most hotels have computers for you to use for a charge, if you want to check email. But why risk something happening to it, just for some tunes. And its not the staff you always have to worry about stealing...the guest have sneaky hands as well. So all valuables should be locked in a safe or in luggage when you are not in the room.
Cleaning ppl won't come in your room if you have a do not disturb sign on your door. Not sure what they do if you are unresponsive to them knocking...I don't think they would clean around you.
As far as room location, being closer to the pool means nothing..as it's not spring break, so the pools are super crazy wild ridiculous. And even if they were, I am not sure why being on a lower floor would make a difference.
OK.....now for my final 2 cents. I am not going to judge you, but drugs are illegal in Mexico. You will be arrested if you smoke a joint at the pool. Steve, the owner of this site will not allow anyone to give you any pro drug information on here.....as once again...drugs are illegal in Mexico. Maybe someone will private message you info. IDK!
Hotel workers claim and act like they love everyone while at work. I am American, and my Mexican bf pretty much is not a fan of most Americans. But would never treat them different at work.
You can not walk out of a bar with an open beer or drink in your hand. You can go to a OXXO or Extra store and by beers, or Tequila and other alcohol at other shops.
TIP well.....it will get you better service and stronger drinks!!!!

The Cancun Palace has a liquor dispenser in the room with upside down bottled of liquor - so you don't need to take bottles to the room. As far as drugs go, I have been approached to buy but would not risk being thrown in a Mexican jail for any party!

First you are not the only people who think they can outparty everyone else. And you are also not the last.

As for laptop bring it if you need it for work or loading up photos. Otherwise leave at home. Bring the Ipod and speakers or good earphones. You do not need anything more then that for music.

Stay on lower floors if you plan to be drunk. Many people have fallen out of balconies on higher floors when drunk and died in Cancun in the past. First floor would be safer for you because of this.

As for drugs, unless you are coming to Cancun to spend your time in jail, forget it. They are incredibly strict and its is totally against the law. Also the person selling it to you in Cancun is probably the same person that will turn you into the police. If you are into drugs perhaps you are better off going to Jamaica where they sometimes look the other way or staying home and avoiding the jail time. Cancun jails are not pretty and getting out is not as easy as you think.

o..k...... short version.. use your head, don't become a statistic... have fun, but remember just because you're in Cancun it doesn't mean the laws of; gravity, common sense, society, and civility don't apply... if you intend to be a nuisance.. you should stay home.

dude, really....... On your first post you really should not be asking for drugs on a public site, Who's to say police officials are not reading this and will not even let you enter the country?. Can you imaging being caught by the police doing drugs out here and being sent to a Mexican jail with the nearest embassy 12 hours away by coach?. I for one would not take the risk.....
