Justin and I had an absolutely amazing time in Cancun last week. There's one thing that I see reiterated over and over on this forum, which is that it's not the resort itself that makes it so incredible, it's the people you meet there.... and after being there, I completely agree!! We met so many awesome people there.... Adam, Chad and Stephanie, Keith, Charlene, Paul and Liz, Anthony and Rita... I know I'm forgetting some lol.... we miss you all already!! I was intending on doing a day by day trip report, but now that we're back, the days are all kind of blurred together haha!! We're slowly sobering up, although still keeping the Temptation wave going with a couple shots of tequila every night! :aetsch004: We arrived at Temptation on Friday..... white night!! We partied hard that night and had a blast, dancing up a storm! After that night, it's all a big blur of FUN!! We spent most afternoons hanging out in the sexy pool, thoroughly enjoying Tiger's long islands with a few tequila shots in between for good measure We loved our room.... we had room #2208, overlooking Margaritas and the sports pool, and it had a pretty good view of the ocean too which was really nice! Yes, it was quite loud in the evenings with Paty-o's right behind our room, but we stayed up late most nights so it didn't bother us. As for the specialty restaurants, we went to Italian twice (thoroughly hammered both times) and Asian once (just a little buzzed), and both were very good. I LOVED the cannelloni at the Italian, but I thought the caesar salad and minestrone soup left a lot to be desired... The habanero sauce at the Asian restaurant was incredible!! mmm gotta love a trail of fire going down your throat lmao! The california rolls as an appetizer was probably my favorite part of that meal. And then.... I ate what looked like a pea that was on the side of my main dish.... still have no idea what it was.... and OMG it felt like there were fireworks in my head.... was so hot I dropped my fork! Good times.... I'd have to say that Margarita's was our favorite place to eat, besides the specialty restaurants. We tried Tex Mex and the buffet restaurant but didn't really enjoy either of them. We left the resort twice.... both times to go to walmart. The bus ride was fun but man those are some crazy ass bus drivers! We stopped at a little restaurant (can't remember the name) just past the bus stop and we each had a quesadilla that was actually pretty good considering it was only 12 pesos! The beach was small but really nice and the sand was perfect! We weren't on the beach during the day too much, but we liked going down there in the evenings to sit in the loungers. There was a thunderstorm one evening which was cool... loved watching the lightning Our favorite bartender at the resort is Alfredo in the Alternative bar!! We had a blast there playing pool and ping pong Alfredo makes a mean ass wet pussy shot!!! mmmmmmm He called me Francesca one night and we decided that would be my mexican name.... and Justin's is Alejandro!! So now it's a running joke that I need to go back sooooon to see my mexican lover Alejandro! We went to Temptation Cabo last winter and thought we'd come back with a definite preference for one or the other...... but there's no chance of that. We love them both! That being said.... there are some things about each resort that are better than the other. The rooftop hot tub with a swim up bar in Cabo is amazing... some crazy times to be had there!!! It's open till 3am and SOOO much fun, I really wish Cancun had one. The food is definitely better in Cancun though, we didn't like the Asian restaurant in Cabo at all! Overall, we had the most amazing time, and it's a hands-down winner for the best week of our lives Well, actually a tie with our week in Cabo!! Don't think we'll ever go to any other resort besides Temptation!
Wow sounds like a good time at both...hmm decisions, decisions where to go next year...Thanks for the TR
Great trip report, I could actually sense your enthusiasm just by reading it and having just come back a few weeks ago, it reminded me of the fun we all had in our group. Its funny that Cabo and Cancun was a tie for you as a bunch of us are awaiting trip reports from people that have been to both to see what one is better.. I guess when comparing vacation to vacation its a bit tough. Glad you had a good time, thanks for the Report
Love reading the TR.......I too could sense your enthusiasm which is awesome!!!! Glad you had a great time!!!
Thank you for a very good trip report. Glad you had a good time and met some great people. :cheerleaders:
Great trip report! We can't wait to get there on the 27th. BTW, sounds like you had a wasabi pea on your plate that made you drop your fork. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it sounds like based on your description. e
Thanks everyone! I guess I did forget to mention a couple things that weren't so good.... just minor things... The beds were super hard... not like it mattered that much because we didn't spend much time in it... for sleeping at least Also, we were constantly harassed by the timeshare / tour sellers... they even called our room at least 3 times to see if we had stopped by to pick up our "free gift" lmao what a joke! But these minor inconveniences did not in any way take away from the awesomeness of Temptation!! On our last night, I actually broke down in tears in the Alternative bar when Alfredo poured us our last shot..... LMAO I'm not usually that emotional!! Just when drinking I guess.... White night is a resort thing, but we added glow bracelets to white night which was a group thing
