Kinda stupid question cause I'm already booked for Halloween week this year and another week in Jan but was wondering if anyone has come across any resorts(other then Hedo) with a similiar vibe to TTR. What i enjoy about TTR is the adult spring break atmosphere. Have done two recent trips to other resorts and jeez I was bored out of my mind by the 2nd day.
We've never found anyplace like TTR. Closest might have been Breezes Runaway Bay, which is also adults only and has lots of activities and entertainment. But they don't have the trapeze anymore, I hear.... Worst was the Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen. Gorgeous and classy, but the only activity any of the guests were participating in was reading kindles on pool chairs. There was one patio bar open at night, and they turned off the music and stopped serving at 11:00!
Single guy travelling with a couple of buddies usually so Desires would be out. Enjoyed Cabo before the switch over and liked it but thought it was more laid back then Cancun. Most of the other adult only resorts seem to be the kindle crowd, lights out @ 10 type of scene & that's not my idea of a fun vacation.
Breezes got sold Hedo is on the selling block now as well... **sigh** Nothing has this kind of party atmosphere. Period.. Damn shame.. Wish I was ridiculously wealthy. I would so buy a place and mix the best parts of Temptation, Hedo and Desire.
I have often pondered the possibilties of creating an enhanced TTR. And as you state, combining the best of Hedo and TTR. The mind just runs away on me. It would be utopia and you guys would luv it, if I could only crystallize my daydream. But you know in all seriousness WE could do it! All we need is 100 dedicated investors with 100k each or 200 passionate believers with 50k. This site has over 24000 users. Surely we can find 100 or 200 shareholders to provide the seed money to create a new Mecca. Then we could be the Green Bay Packers of Resorts. The returns we are getting on our portfolios these days is pathetic. Instead of giving your money to some useless mutual fund manager who loses it, have some fun with it, take a flyer and become a founding owner of the greatest Adults Only Beach Resort in the hemisphere. We might even be able to poach some employees from our fav resort, or bring in some beloved 'gone but not forgotten' stars. ( Chinos, Omar, Lalo, T) And just think what our shareholder meetings would be like. I for one would never proxy my vote.

There was some talk about this awhile ago.. LOL when security got really tight at TTR April 2011. It really amazed me how many small islands were for sale and the prices were reasonable.
