I hope that this works - Just returned from a very fun week. Over the next several days I hope to give my opinions and perceptions- Overall the resort gets a B and the weather a D+ My biggest dislike, perverts who will not ask to take pictures and then they are mad when they go for a swim - uh, oh well The Delta flights were perfect, as was USA transfer. We landed at 1233PM and were at the resort in 70 minutes. We used Skoosh and I was very apprehensive. Great relief came when the bellman and Debora at the front desk had all of our information. Check in was a breeze. (Debora is the only desk employee that I met that really cares to ensure that you are satisifed.) Room 1233 absorbed sound all though the room was not directly near the outside pub. The room was OK and served it's purpose. Landed on Sunday, a good day to get relaxed and begin to absorb the atmosphere. We had fun near the pool bar, sports pool and we were able to relax and talk to some nice people. Being there sober or not hung over in the afternoon, is a new experience for me. Sunday, just relaxed, consumed large quantities of alcohol and ate at the buffet. We have not been to TTR since it was BBG and the quality of the buffet food is very impressive. The shrimp were large and very tasty. Later that evening the band was great and well, the girls put on a good show. (My "Fricking" camera is a piece of junk- This began an issue with men to chicken to ask to take pictures.) Since I am about of time and I am not confident this will take, let me finish this portion by saying that the Asain and seafood restaurants are of very poor quality. The Tex Mex and Italian are real good. (Their reservation system still sucks) Can't get the spell check to work, oh well ---Monday rocked
Thanks for the trip report. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip. Funny how you landed at 1233 and then were assigned room 1233.
The weather most of the days was clear in the morning, clouldy in the afternoon, with brief showers. Ms. Temptations was cancelled as only a few of us were by the pool. Overall, very little rain, but temperatures in the mid to low 70's and very strong winds. Trust me, much better than Iowa but the coldest trip we have ever had to this area. Monday was the best day, it felt hot out and a brief afternoon shower did not effect the crowd. This was the best day for activities and to talk with a variety of people. The swingers and swayers were having fun and the pool rocked. I got the part about falling down early this vacation and my bruises were practically healed by the time we got home. Anything after lunch time is a bit foggy. (No lunch, bad idea) We met Big Kev and his wife from NY (originally from England), met lotta fun later in the week and some others from this board. Overall a great week, the weather could have been better ( thankfully not worse), the entertainment staff was good, without Chinos the staff would be very weak. The ladies need to develop their own personalities. The band that plays on Saturday and Sunday nights is very good. The shows are OK and the pool side activiites are hit and miss. This week, Mrs and Mr Whitie participated and they were hilarious. They have very fair skin, were completely covered for most of the week and very nice people. Naked volleyball and water polo did not happen as few were by the pool. The pool side bartenders kept telling us, welcome to Canada, as they put on another coat. The Patty O's bartenders are the best and I compare them to anywhere that we have been. Hopefully, next year.
Lets just say, two men waited for him to be stragetically placed next to the pool, and one of the men moved, somewhat abruptly. This guy was in your face, closer to the action than we were. The other guy just got pushed, he was told good bye to his pictures and he went. He had the opportunity to have his memory card edited prior to his carribean plunge. The first one, the young lad from Kentucky got it pretty quick. Lost his cell phone in the process. Later he apologized and a trip to Walmart for a new camera with new manners. My camera, for our group was on the fritz, but we had a great time. :daveandmo:
