Yes, I'm now a member of the club, some degenerate managed to clear off my kitchen counter where I set my wallet, rings, watch, car stereo face, and other items everyday. Somehow he was able to reach about 5 feet thru the windows and pick off my valuables that were out... total loss looks to be around $2,000 usd... not to mention my bank cards and license.... my concern now is the possibility that he will make a return trip after doing so well this time.... It can happen anywhere... I thought I was safe by keeping them "out of reach".. but apparently, we have some thieves here with 6 foot long arms... I guess the moral of the story is, if they can see it thru the windows they can take it.....
Oh, wow!! Sorry to hear that. Had a break in here where I live too last weekend. A warning to all of us. unemployment up/crime up. Not that there aren't people whose main job is stealing but now there are probably more amateurs at it.
That sucks! I'm really sorry to hear it. We are getting paranoid around here since we haven't been hit yet.
Oh, I'm so sorry! It totally sucks. We're trying NOT to get paranoid, but it's hard, that's three of you on the board in a very short time, plus a couple at work. I guess all we can do is watch our backs and be vigilant. Sigh.... So sorry you got hit....
Thanks everyone.... I was ready to strangle someone when I first realized what had happened... but as we all know, it is the sort of thing that can and does happen everywhere... I've been fortunate, that this is the first time its happened to me in the six years I've lived here. Its just especially annoying now, due to money being extra tight, and I JUST bought a really nice diamond ring last week, that was taken... so that just adds to the irritation.... but easy come easy go I suppose..... Everyone just make sure that you don't make the same mistake I did and leave small valuable things within view of your windows even at home....
Sorry to hear another one joins the club. I've come to the conclusion that it's only a matter of time, sadly a case of when not if.
I am so sorry .............its a horrible feeling isn't it and I would ceratinly prefer not to be a member of the club. We now have bars on the windows and doors are locked all the time. Everytime the dogs bark i am up out of my seat . Tracey
