Ok just booked our 2nd trip to TR and this time it was a little more. Last time it was only 99 bucks a night but that was in oct. This time it came out to be 132 a night. Anyways my question is does it rain a lot in August and if it does will the Pool still stay warm. When we went in Oct. it rained 1 day and the pool was freezing the rest of the trip. Also does anyone know when Chinos takes his Vacation. I really WANT him to be there. He is so much fun!!!!!!!!! Thanks

    Steve

I doubt the water would ever be cold in August it is very hot then. I just booked 9 nights and airfare for 2 from detroit to Cancun for $1754 CDN total.

    August

If it does rain in August it's only for a short bit and then the sun comes out. Our first time going in August it was blazeing hot outside so we ran for the pool and it felt like bath water so we hit the ocean and it was just as warm. The pool believe me won't be remotely cool. It's very warm in August.

Is the pool packed with people in August? I hope so the more the merrier. Seems we went to the opposite xtreme but that is cool I would much rather it be warm than cold.

    Pool

It will be busy enough. The resort definitely won't be full in late August but there will be a good crowd probably 60% if I had to guess.
Both times we been in August we've dealt with Hurricanes so the resort was not near the capacity it could have been. Hurricane Dean 2007 completely cleared out Cancun 90,000 people 2 days before we arrived and then Gustav in 2008. Both years there were still quite a few people at the resort despite many cancelations during August.

Our luck last year was the swine flu. Arrive 3 weeks after the start of that in May....LOL. Talk about a resort that was dead. However it was still tons of fun.
