Its been about a year and a half since we've been to TTR. Usually go in December but didn't make it this year, so we decided to do a shorter trip over Memorial Day. Just got 5 night/6 day roundtrip, direct flights out of Chicago May 28 (Sat) - June 2 (Thurs) for $870/person total. Its the deluxe room garden, but if its clean and not next to PattyO's we'll be fine. I booked thru American Express Vacations. They were about $300-400 total less than any other site online. Yay!! So looking forward to meeting a new group of fun TTR people!!
Good Deal! Seems like there are some good deals to be had if you are booking a few months out (seems like common sense, but a lot of people wait until last minute). We are booked the first week in October for 7 nights and with a non-stop flight from Denver and non-stop back to Denver we were at $850 a person! Mind you that is with a referral week... On Expedia though the same arrangement was like $975 per person. We book last June/July about a month out and that was a huge mistake as it ended up being like $1500 a person. Glad you found such a good deal!
Wow - wish I would've known that. Wells Fargo rewards worked out to be ~$800pp for 4 nights. I just checked some other dates and sure enough, $858pp keeps coming up... at that price, I think we can justify a couple more trips this year if we like it as much as I think we will!!

Yea I know the airfare can be a big factor. We fly direct from Philly and it is consistently around $535pp for the last few years. With the way our schedules are between childcare and work vacation time, we always leave on Saturday, and come back on Saturday or Sunday. That's what stinks. I have seen flight for like $315 but we would have to leave like mid-day on a Tuesday, and then return on a very early flight home, also mid week.
I hear ya. I think we got lucky. We are going Friday-Friday, and the Saturday we are there is our anniversary. We arrive in Cancun at 1pm and leave at 2pm, which sounds damn good to me. No late night arrivals or early morning departures. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
