Just back (kinda long maybe boring)

Just got back last night. This is I believe is our 7th time to TTR. Would have been our 8th, but hurricane Wilma sent us to Puerta Vallarta.

Well, we were there 7 days. Arrived at airport and everything went very smooth. Our vacation was through Funjet, but found by search and Kayak Vacations Kayak.com . Our transfers were through Lomas, we paid extra for private transfer. With our trip cost, transfers were included but we wanted the private this time so we didn't have to stop at every hotel before we were dropped off. I wish I would have bought the USA Transfers Steve promotes, but I had already bought it with the vacation packages and I couldn't change it. Anyway it was good no problems.

When we got through the airport, it was raining :cry: morning about 11:00. Got to the hotel, since we have been there so many times we don't really care which room, as we have always had a good one. You don't spend much time in your room anyway. We like to have fun as a couple, but only get one vacation a year so we like to spend time just the two of us. They had a room ready with garden view somewhere in the 5000 area. We asked for a room by the quiet pool, and were told to go get something to eat and check back. So that's what we did. Went to the Margarita Bar to get lunch, we were starved as we didn't have any breakfast before flying out. There was a looooooong line, and the a la cart restaurant was closed. Gerry a Representative for the hotel seen us waiting (as we still had on cold weather clothes) ask our name and said he would check about our room. He came back pretty quickly said our room was ready. We went to the desk they gave us 5124. Went to our room, was not by the quiet pool, but we are pretty easy going, and was ready to have some fun and relax.

First day was so late in the afternoon we just had drinks on the beach, and went to PatyO's for more drinks but turned in early tired from the trip. Day 2 we went to the quiet pool meet Cheryl & Orlando from Indiana, several couples from Michigan and had a great time. Such a great time my back got toasty from drinking in the pool at the bar. Lulu the bartender remembered us and always gave us great service. One of the couples from Michigan (sorry can't remember their names) it was their last day and the wife had a raft. So gave it to me when she left. Unfortunately I never got to use it as the weather wasn't that great, but how nice! Day 3 was cloudy all day, cold and windy. I put on my sweat shirt, and heard someone say I can't believe she has a sweat shirt on. Oh well, I'm very cold natured but wanted to be outside to drink and not be cold. Sat by the quiet pool with drinks and meet Betty & Lee from Scotland, Angie & Todd from Canada. Had a great time and lots of drinks. Met up with them at PatyO's and drank up till early morning. They had a live band there that night. Pretty good, but they need a little more variety of music. Day 4 was a very sunny day, we spent the day on the beach together drinking and just kept pulling our chairs closer to the water to get every bit left of the sun.:clappyinghappy: Okay to be continued, but that evening is where some trouble began .............:cry:

Good report so far. Looking forward to the rest. Sorry about the weather. We enjoyed meeting you last year. I remember it was kinda cold and rainy then too, but we made the most of it, didn't we
