Hi! For transportation, it might even be included with your package, depending on who you booked through. Last year, we booked with selloffvacations.com and round-trip transfers were included. This year, we booked through expedia and had the option to buy transfers through them at a really good price. As for tipping, I believe US dollars are fine. i didn't even THINK about bug repellent! ugh... how bad is it? we hardly have any mosquitos here in colorado, so i totally forget what its like by the water... are they bad during the day, or just at night? or all the time???
