So, many years after the wife and I went to TTR (then Blue Bay Getaway), and after several failed/aborted attempts to return (two or three times in 2008 and twice in 2009, airline tickets bought, room reserved only to have to cancel at the absolute last minute), we're shooting for this June after my fulltime conversion... Or maybe it'll be July. We went in Feb and May and both times had a blast, but IIRC there were fewer people in May than Feb. I remember conversations about even fewer people in June and fewer still in July. May is out this year, so June or July will have to be our moment in the sun. So, observations from the folks here that have gone either month, and especially those that have gone both; how was it?
We have attended in lat Feb/early March, April and June. June has been by far the craziest and there are plenty of people, though less than April.
We've been the last two years at the June/July border and its been great! Lots of great people, decent weather (we managed to have only one small rain shower in two years), overall great times. I think you'll have a great time no matter which month u go!
We are also a part of the June Junkies Group. It's the most convenient work time for us. But we have been in May, June & July. I think even if we didn't have work constraints we would still choose end of June because of the people and weather. Last year our first day was rain and then the rest sunshine (with short bursts of showers). When we went in mid July, I think I remember it being really, really hot. Just my 2 cents. We went for 3 weeks in July 2011, by week 3 it was SO quiet! Practically had the whole beach to ourselves. The first time in history the Cast couldn't get anyone up to play volleyball, and "wild" tequila volleyball became "boring" tequila volleyball, because, well, the people there were, boring! And it was stupidly hot. But that was then, who knows? Like Chinos once said to us "You can't expect it to be Disney everyday". :daisy:
We are going early/mid June!! I am sure it's going to be awesome!! Last year we went end of July and it was awesome. I think either June or July you will find awesome people there!
June is great!! Definitely NOT boring with this group. June Junkies go hard all day!!! We arrive on June 14th with a BUNCH of June Junkies coming in that day. We have seen very little rain on our June trips to Mexico. Around this same time in 2008 it rained all day and night for 24 hours. We have seen brief showers here and there all other trips in June. We have never had trouble with mosquitoes. The pool is perfect and refreshing. ~Dawn~
We have only been in June, we completely lucked out by picking June our first trip. Nothing against the other months, but the people in June are like family now. We suggest you become a member of the June Junkies.
We go the last week of July. This will be our third trip. Always been crazy...The people are great. I don't think we would ever change that week....The only change we would make is to add another trip! LOL. The weather is not too hot. In fact it has been about 10 -15 degrees cooler than where we live.
