    Temptation Los Cabos June 18-22
We got what we expected for the most part.
This was our first trip to Los Cabos Temptation, 5 time repeaters to Cancun Temptation.

EXCELLENT: Service, Evening food meals, Bartenders, Waitresses, Couples massage, Grounds maintenance, Clean appearance, The people you meet are top notch, ready to talk and party! The upstairs hot tub is tons of fun and a great place to meet people. Entertainment staff worked hard all day and night.

AVERAGE: Rooms, Breakfast and lunch meals,

DISAPPOINTMENTS: Warm beer, No buffet ever (there were to few people to have it open) Usually there was just one restaurant open at anytime due to lack of occupancy. To few people to play games, felt sorry for the staff. The hotel going up next door is HUGE and will not be a good thing for this resort. Chinos was on vacation but we did spot him running around.

I would say the main problem was lack of people, hopefully things will pick up soon for them. We would go back but probably pick a time of year when more people would be there to make things more exciting.
If you have been to Temptation Cancun, Los Cabos is similar but on a much smaller scale.

Over July 4th is going to be our 6th trip there in the last 9 months. I know things will be a little different due to the lack of guests, but I'm sure we'll have fun just the same. A couple of questions about your stay:

During the day, was the grill open by the pool for lunch?

Was the entertainment staff able to get any of the daily activities going? We love playing a little pool volleyball.

    Thanks

    los cabos June

Could the lack of vacancy be due in part to both the time of year and the recent swine flu? Most north americans I would assume don't head south much past April when I was there. I would think any place south in the carribbean, florida or mexico would not be filled to capacity. Where did Chinos go on holiday?

    Los Cabos

Yes the grill beside the pool was open for lunch, it was the only place open for lunch. Service was quick (20 min) but after only 5 days we had pretty much tried everything on the menu. It would have been nice to just grab a quick plate of something from a buffet whenever we wanted.

All games were played except the morning games of sand volleyball, most of them were cancelled.

Swine flu and the time of season played a big role in the lack of guests. We just wish someone would have told us that our choices of eatting places were limited as well as no buffet.

We met Chinos in the lobby and we were under the impression that he would be working the next day so our conversation at the time was very short, he was busy at the front desk talking. Later we were told he was still on vacation but we did see him running thru the resort. From what we could tell he stayed very close to the resort for an actual vacation.

Thanks for the reply. The lunch area by the pool was the only place to eat during the day in our past trips. There was never a buffet open, so you did receive the normal lunch option. I don't think it will be a big deal for us about no buffets at dinner, just a little different.

One other question (sorry I should have asked the 1st time): was there nightly entertainment by the bar & was the disco open every night?

    Thanks

    TENTAZIONE
Casual yet elegant, this outdoor restaurant shaded by a ramada, serves lunch and fresh by grilled specialties by the main pool area. Centrally located, it's a great place to grab a bite while keeping an eye on the poolside action.

Open Daily 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM for buffet and grill selection

The above is what I just got off the website, which still leads me to think there is a buffet from 11am to 6pm, which there was not. I do not blame them for shutting things down due to lack of guests, just a dissapointment.
Fri and Sat were the only nights the disco was open, the rest of the nights the fun was around the bar.
The place would have been alot more fun with more people, that we understand. I just wanted people who are considering booking to understand there are some things that just are not happening because of the low volume of travelers. Hope that improves so it's better for everyone.

Technically along side the grill in the Tentazione there were hot foods (ribs, ch. fingers, empanadas, fried fish etc etc) in heated bins as well as a salad bar, pizza, soup, rolls and dessert so I guess that was the buffet part of the grill because it was a serve yourself type of selection unless you were ordering something from the grill to be cooked for you. Perhaps there wasn't that selection when you were there.

We will be there July 11th. Hopefully that is more of a prime time then June and will be busier.
