We're planning to run cruises on the following dates in July 2014: Friday 4th July - deposits open here Friday 11th July - deposits open here Tuesday 15th July - deposits open here Friday 18th July - deposits open here Friday 25th July - deposits open here Wednesday 30th July - deposits open here Each cruise will open up for deposits one month before. So 4th July will open for deposits on 4th June etc. etc. We always aim to open at 1pm Cancun time. Each time a cruise opens a sign up thread will be posted and I'll link to it from here and from the July roll call. Each cruise will need 25 deposits paid to reach confirmed status, and the maximum for each cruise is 70. If we don't reach confirmed status one week before the proposed date, then all deposits are refunded and the cruise is cancelled. Rationale for cruise dates July is always a quieter month than earlier in the year. The weather is better, there are more daylight hours meaning people spend less time online plus kids are off school so family holidays take precedent for many. Our peak week seems to be 11-18 so we are planning three cruises for that time frame. The rest of the month is fairly uniform and some of the dates may be touch and go whether we make the minimum numbers, but we'll see how things go. I assess the numbers from the July roll call and various other threads and they don't take account of: - people who didn't add their dates to the roll call - new people who join between now and the cruise date - people who want to do more than one cruise - couples who are also bringing friends (have been counted as two) - folks staying at GOV, Desire or other hotels in Cancun - people who predominantly hang out at the Cancuncare/TTR Facebook group - people who book via our Boobs Cruise website - email requests from people who don't publicly post anywhere. So, it follows that my figures are probably a large underestimate of the actual number of people who will be in Cancun in July that have a connection with cancuncare in one way or another. Lets see how interest in the dates above go, we may have to make tweaks as time progresses depending on feedback.
