1974, hella long time ago. A lot less political correctness bullshit. Being able to laugh, no hatred, funny classic comedy for the ages here, without threatened to be sued, or beat up (or shot). Seemed like the only city's to burn back then was in Detroit on Devils' Night in Motown, or when the Straw Stirred the Drink in NYC for 2 consecutive crowns in the 70's. I was fortunate enough to meet Sherman Hemsley at a antique car show out west in the mid 90's, total class act.
It is amazing how overly sensitive people can be over stuff that is just downright stupid. I'm involved in teaching professional education courses and we are cautioned about using gender specific terms like guys, gals, or even his or hers. Of course mentioning anything that even remotely smacks of political leanings is just a huge no-no. That becomes especially difficult then one of our topics is Obamacare. Sadly with all the political correctness we have today has come with the cost of no longer being able to laugh at ourselves.
