We visited Occidental Grand Xcaret on August 5 ,2007. Beautiful resort. Staff was fantastic, friendly and willing to make your stay great. Food was good, drinks great!!! A la carte restaurants were excellent. The Buffet restaurant has AC. Service is outstanding. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Mini-bar replenished everyday. Weather was superb, sunny everyday. The included visit at the x-caret eco park is a real bonus. It is a must to see. The beach is small but there is a good swimming area, plus other pools to be enjoyed. I completely agree about the bonus amenity of access to the Xcaret park. If T and I hadn't decided to make ours a cultural tour instead of a more typical beach holiday we would have chosen this resort. Am glad you liked it...it confirms my feelings for it. Mind if I move this to the Cancun Info forum? I know it is not in Cancun, but other resorts along the Riviera Maya are also commented upon there.
