So we will be at TTR Feb 16th to 23rd and we were thinking of taking the ferry to Mujeres for the day to do some golf cart sightseeing and maybe find some secluded beach for relaxing and skinny dipping . Can anyone suggest any good lunch/beach spots and are there any other couples going during our stay who would like to make a day of it with us ? Also where is the best spot to get the ferry , is it by the Pirate ship ? How much is the ferry crossing and how often does it cross ? :aktion069::aktion030::bootyshake:
We are there at that time too. We did it last year...the golf cart n isla. We found the "ice bar" and had lunch there. We are going to go again this yr. Boobs Cruise will be first thing we do. Hopefully on the 18th or 19th Steve runs one. Then Isla. Keep in touch n we will see you around the sexy pool by noon on the 17th. Cheers Michelle and Luc
Yes, the ferry dock is by the pirate ship, no more than a 10 minute walk if you leave the resort and walk the beach, going to the right. It costs $19 US round trip. Here is the schedule: El Embarcadero to Isla MujeresEl Embarcadero a Isla Mujeres « Ultramar
We plan to take the trip over to Isla Mujeres this new years. Also looking for any recommendations or tips to make the trip memorable. Although not specifically dedicated to Isla Mujeres, the thread below contains several Isla recommendations from other CCC members. This thread is about a month old. http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/Temptation-resort-cancun/34031-advice-day-trip.html
We have done this 3 times and always enjoy the trip. Yes the ferry is by the pirate ship and they run every hour. It takes about 25 minutes to get there so bring a couple of cold beverages for the ride. There will most likely be a few local musicians on the boat that will sing a few songs and then ask for a tip. When you get ti Isla there are quite a few places to rent a golf cart. You can haggle the price. we always paid 40, or 45 bucks. make sure you bring your license, they will hold onto it. The island is basically a big loop. Without stopping you can do it in less than 2 hours, But we always make stops along the way. On the north side of the island is a hotel called MIA Reef. You have to drive the golf cart over a wooden bridge to get to it. We usually stop here for some beers and a snack and then we swim there. The beach is great here, but not private. On the south side of the island there is a outside dive bar called The Joint. We usually stop here for a cold beer too. Dont use the bathroom though, its pretty gross. On the East side of the island there is another bar we stop at. The sign says "beer so cold it will hurt your teeth". How could you pass that up? Another fum thing to do is check out the turtle sanctuary.
Hi, we arrive on the 19th. We looked into Isla Mujeres , but don't really know what to expect. We are only at TTR for 4 days so not sure if we should kill the day, or soak up as much resort time as possible. Any suggestions?
Hands down best lunch spots are Rubens (authentic Mexican) and Mango Cafe. You cant go wrong with either. As for a secluded beach spot to skinny dip, We have never seen one in our 10 trips over there. North Beach is an amazing beach, can get busy on the weekends though. You cant be naked but April goes topless and wears an almost invisible micro bottom and nobody cares. Catching the ferry is ez pezzy. Walk down to the pirate ship and they go like once an hour starting at 9:15am. We are at TTR Feb 17-22nd and going over to Isla for the day on Fri the 19th. You are more than welcome to join us
Sounds to me like we have a date . How can we refuse an invite from Mujeres Vets . Cold beers , lots of sun and ladies in micro thongs ......sounds like heaven to us . See you in February . Anyone else going to join us ?:bootyshake::flash::flash:
)If you can't find a place to skinny dip on the north end of isla............you can't find isla! On 2 trips there we have been invited on board of a couple very nice yachts anchored on the bay side in water about 4ft deep. If you take the TTR yacht out........you'll anchor in that general area for a little skinny dip fun. That'should how we met our friends in that area!
