It is again that time of year in which the tourist season reaches its lowest point: the foreigners have not yet started arriving in large numbers, and the Mexican tourists have all returned to their homes and their work. As a result, this is the perfect time to visit Isla Mujeres. We were there yesterday. The weather was delightful, with the intense heat of summer now broken, yet warmth and sunshine pervading all. The waters are clear and beautiful, the beaches soft and white, and the shop keepers more grateful than usual for your visits. We had an unusually fine time, yesterday, and met some delightful people who, because they were not very busy, had time to talk. Visit, if you can, before December, when the crowds again start to hit town.
