Hi i am thinking about staying at Temptations for 2 weeks in late November early December. I will be travelling by myself for the first time and am worried that the hotel will be all couples or groups of friends and i will not fit in. When i travel i will be 33 years old, at home i would describe myself as a quiet person but when abroad i completely change and Temptations is the only hotel that i can find which i like the sound of, it seems lively and very much a party hotel. Is the hotel popular with other people who travel by themselves, and is the hotel aimed at people in there 20s or is there a wide range of ages that stay there . Gavin
TTR is what you make it. You can have a respectable wild time our you can be shy and drink at the end of the bar. Each time frame has separate thread .. Late Nov/early Dec is a great time for singles, a great bunch of people who return same time every year. Take a look at the Chaos Crew threads from Nov 2012!
Gavin, as Trish said, late Nov/early Dec is one of the best periods for singles at the resort. My first trip was as a single during that time period. The Chaos Crew rolls in right around American Tgiving and stays until about Dec 12th or so. If you book the first week of December, you'd be right in the thick of things.
Of all the places we've been, TTR is the only one where people come with the intention of meeting new people and socializing, so you'd find it very easy to strike up conversations and find people to hang out with while you're there. I think some of the travel companies promote it as a wild hook-up place, though, and I think anyone coming expecting to find lots of single women throwing themselves at them would be disappointed. It's definitely couples-dominant.
we are 2 woman (just friends) 36 and 40 going for vacation just looking for a no kids resort where people actually go out, drink and have fun, meeting new people, hang out and socialize lots.... I think it's what you make of your vacation really..and depends what you are looking for too..
Best time to go! I'm thinking of going again the last week of November this year if I can get the time off work. The Chaos Crew is the best, I was never alone unless I wanted to be. It's a good party You won't regret it.
This would def be the place for you. Wide age range and even wider personality range. You can be as outgoing or as quiet as you choose to be. As long s your not the loud obnoxius drunk who annoys everyone you'll be fine. Did my first solo trip @ Halloween and its was different from my previous trips but would def do it again. Heading back with my buddies the week of Jan 26 and cant wait. Just go with an open mind and remember the resorts motto.
