WOH! We are wanting to book for our usual end of March stint at TTR and have never seen the prices so high! I am an avid internet deal searcher and if things don't go down we won't be going. $1000 more than what we usually pay? I am starting to think that March and April addicts could be driving up the price:icon_cry::bandit::flagcanada::typing:
It might have to do with the date that Easter falls on...From NL, that week costs more than the weeks prior to or after. I'm going anyway...Mar 29-Apr 12.
From Canada try Expidia.ca and use the build your own package option couple of weeks ago it saved me 1100$ ,,,, you have to book the flight to get the discount.
And yes CC (people)has promoted the resort so much I truly believe the prices are going up Nothing like shooting yourself in the foot.
Just checked trip central from toronto, starting March 21st at $1030 all in and the 27th going up to $1240.
Pretty standard business practice actually. The hotel I usually stay at in Dallas, if nothing is going on, I can get it for $150/night and be upgraded to suite. If there is a baseball or football game in town... lucky if I can get $230/night and a have beautiful view of the A/C units in back. If history shows that TTR sells out on particular days/weeks/months etc... they are going to try to increase their profits. The trick is not to go too high that you drive people away, sometimes a fine line. You want people to say :sigh: okay I really want to go... I'll pay the $200 more than I did last year...
I, too, am an avid Interenet vaca searcher. It's very high for our normal time of week 8. The resort is charging $327 a night for their cheapest rooms. I am normally booked for our end of Feb. trip by now but the prices are outrageous. I will keep trying and hoping....:huh:
