We were in Cancun July 2009 and were very disappointed to find the Black Pearl closed. We hope this was just temporary due to the swine flu scare. Does anyone know if they are open for business again? This a cool tiki bar on the lagoon where you can just hang and relax. A trip to Cancun is not complete without a couple stops there. Not to mention Chickadee the crock used to be fed chicken by the owners and came when called.
Sorry to say, was out there last week and they are gone gone gone. The wooden deck appears to be rotting, nothing there.
Thanks for the reply. We like the smaller bars, like Caronas, and the one directly accross the street, Daddy'O's I think. Can you suggest any others.
Awwww, that stinks... That is the first place I went on my first trip to Cancun.. It was where we had the CancunCare meet up... Loved the place!
