IRS Rebate's went to wrong accounts

In some cases, the IRS sent the money to the wrong bank accounts. Bumbling idiots I tell ya!!!

If John Q. Public sends their check for underpayment to the EPA rather than the IRS...they would catch hell for a mistake like that!!!

we was to have ours the 9th dd and have not got it. Better call them and see what's up

 

I was suppose to have mine by tomorrow, but since I used turbotax I guess I am NOT getting mine direct deposited like I was originally called for. Guess I am getting a regular check now......and not until july!

 

good luck getting through....ive called about 8 times, got the same automated message about all reps assisting other people

 

that's what they told me today also. uh what? ugh. I guess it does not matter in the long run since we are using it for spending monday in cancun in july ( ours will come early june)

 

I called this number 1-800-829-0582 ext 462. and yes took foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

 

I was suppose to have got mine by the 9th also.. No check... I know some people that it got posted to the wrong account.. They had two checking accounts, and it was posted to the one they didn't list it to.

 

go to the irs.gov site, click on 'where's my rebate' and enter the info.

if it is within a couple weeks of your scheduled mail date, it will tell you how much and by what date it will mail.

if you don't have it by now, most likely you are getting a paper check.

 

so it tells me everywhere that I'm getting one...and the lady i talked to said it should have deposited by now...then shes like oh, it doesn't look like you're getting one because you're a student? what the f**K?!?

 

Sorry Fletch.....I feel your pain! There is nothing worse than a royal run-around by an incompetent, bumbling fool who works for the government and has access to all of your private data!!! :shock:
