Hey, Four Irish lads hittin Cancun for the first time this March..14th-21st! Over St Patricks day too so hopin to make it a good one. Not really sure what to expect when we head over, where are the best places to go at night? Is there much to do during the day? Saw a few videos on youtube of lil wayne, lupe fiasco etc playin at spring break venues, are there any big acts playing Cancun this year? Staying at Aquamarina Beach Hotel, not sure how it compares to the big hotels, has any one had any experience with it? Oasis seems to be the best place from what iv read. I had a drinking contest last spring break against some Irish boys...didn't end well lol There are usually some big performances at The City during spring break, however, i don't know who's going to be there this year. I haven't heard much about Aquamarina beach but if you're looking for parties during the day you can purchase a day pass to Oasis and go that route.

welcome to the boards, fella! There really is NOTHING good about the Oasis outside of the day party they have there. It's a dump of a hotel, but brings the people in. You pay money to stay there during the day, eat their gross food, drink their watered down drinks and party with tons of people, guess it's kinda worth it haha. Acts for The City have yet to be announced, but it's usually someone who was decent a few years ago. Usually ends up being Akon and a bunch of other people haha. I wouldn't go to one of those shows personally, way too many people makes it almost impossible to move around or get a drink
the city usually has some major acts they had akon and snoop last year. they wont announce anyone for atleast another month. this year belive and gran caribe are co headquartering studentcity
is oasis always popular.. like is it worth it to buy a day pass, or only during spring break? Do they do the foam parties.. ect. ect. ?
i've heard that the foam parties are absolutely disgusting but i just can't help but want to go to one haha

exactly! haha and as for oasis i have only ever been to cancun during spring break so not sure if its nuts all year
