So as we make up our minds between Cabo and Cancun, just wondering what the situation is regarding Internet Connection and Cell Phone Service in Cabo. From a few previous posts it seems the Internet Connection is pretty hit-or-miss. Any recent visitors that can provide an update? Same questions regarding Cell phones. We have ATT and their Worldwide calling plan. Are we good? We're pretty much leaning toward Cabo for this summer, although we're ready to get going right now. :icon_biggrin:
Internet connection At Temptation Los Cabos right now. We're planning on coming back again ASAP. Great people, great staff, great fun. I'm sending this message using an AT&T aircard with worldwide connection. The connection is showing 4 (out of 5) bars on a 3G network. I also have an AT&T Blackberry that I'm able to send and receive emails and phone calls as well.
Hi, I just returned from Temptation Los Cabos this past weekend. I did not turn on my cellphone while in Mexico (to avoid heinous roaming charges). I did see several hotel guests (Americans and Canadians) using their phones with no problems. The free Internet connection in the lobby works well and is considerably faster and more reliable than the paid network.
Internet Connection speed So is the connection fast enough that it's worth the effort to bring your laptop?
I'm at Temptation on my laptop right now, the connection speed is ok, good enough to check on work, home, etc.
