I couldn't find a wifi signal from my room, so I just used my phone (verizon) which had great reception.

It's 15 bucks a day, which is highway robbery, but I was able to use my iPhone with Skype to call home for free. We were just off the courtyard near the sports pool, and I could hit the signal just fine from our room. But, it's a lot closer than most to the lobby where I'm assuming the signal is based.

    internet

$5.00 for 30 min in the lobby but make sure you use it when everyone else is not. I think it slows down when all the resort puters are running. Try the weekends late in the day

Just so I'm clear. Is Wireless internet access in the room $15 per day?

Verizon said that texting would be 25 cents per message but would still like to use the computer as well.

premier members get internet access in their rooms for free. Pain in the ass to actually get it, but you will finally get it. And if you are sta;ying for longer than 1 week be prepared to be shut off and have to start all over again.

The last I understood, anyone who was not premier members could get access int heir room for 15 a day. Agree highway robbery. But I did notice a gentlemen in the paty o bar area with his lap top and I assume that he was getting a signal. Not sure, but assume cause he was on his computer for a really long time, like 3 or 4 hours.

I think it all depends on where you are willing to look for a signal. Im sure you'll be able tofind one, just where is the question.

You can only get one connection per room, which will be the first device you log in with. I logged in with my Iphone and then found I couldnt log the laptop. Being free to Premier members I got them to give me a second access for the pc, I would guess they might charge a second $15 for others.
I havent taken neither phone nor laptop out of my room, the access in the rooms by the Diegos pool is 4 bars strong but could be patchy elsewhere.
The speed is somewhat throttled, it has a very high latency and only about 100k speed, i.e. slightly better than dial-up. Skype works but only just. Dont even try to stream any audio or video.
There is also a laptop available for Premier members to check e-mail etc free of charge in the Premier office.
