Does anyone know if TTR has wireless internet or if you can get a signal from a hotel nearby? I need to check email atleast once on my stay and would like to do it from my tablet. Thanks!!! Mike
It is $15 per day, or you can use the Computers in the lobby as well. Some rooms have access to the wireless, but most do not and you have to sit in the lobby, but it is available.
Apparently Hooters has free Wi-Fi too. I am facing the awful prospect of maybe having to take my job with me on my hols (trying desperately to sort it out now so that I don't). I can just imagine the faces of my companies' expenses department when they get a load of receipts from Hooters Cancun!
We are owners and had fee wi-fi --- worked in both our rooms. first room was by the sports pool - second was by the quite pool. I think if you are willing to pay for it you can use it in any room on the resort.
When we were there in Oct. we got free wifi as compensation for some problems, but found it only worked in the lobby and sometimes by the sexy pool. Our room was by the Asian restaurant and there was no signal there at all. Sometimes I could get it in the buffet, but it would cut out. Uploading pictures on Facebook took forever! The connection is very slow. If I was online on my iPhone walking out of the lobby, the wifi would lose signal right before the Nice Shoes bar, and sometimes before Paty O's even. They really should improve the strength of their signal, it isn't that difficult or costly, and would significantly improve the quality of life for guests (especially when that is the only way to keep tabs on kids at home without obscene roaming charges!).
We could get it from our Jacuzzi room but not from our room in the 5000 block. So it all depends on where you are at the resort.
Point to peeps... if you need internet bad, as for a room with good reception...the front desk knows where is good and where is bad. point to TTR.... come on people its 2012.not that hard to get more access points
