does anyone know anything about the best day shared transportation from the airport? we are with another couple who booked this with their trip and want to know if it takes forever to get to temptations. Would it be worth 2 of us to take a private shuttle and what is a good one? any advise or info would be greatly appreciated

Best day shared transport costs $17 per person round trip. For 4 the total would be $68

Private airport transfer for 4 costs $65 for the same round trip with USA Transfers. So, not only would they be quicker and more comfortable than taking a shared transfer they are cheaper too.

USA Transfers are the company many people here use and I really cant ever remember a negative report.

Links to both can be found in the subforum linked here:

yea they already pd for the shared transportation. so i am not sure if it would be better for my husband and i to go along with it or look for private shuttle for the 2 of us last time i took a shared shuttle it took forever to get to our hotel and our flight is already going to be 3 1/2 hours later than the original one we booked.

Buy the USA transfer for them, they will be happy and you will get to the resort much faster. Or let them suffer and you can laugh at them when they arrive. (that is what I might do for a good laugh)

I would pay a little extra to avoid shared transportation. It seems like TTR is always the last to drop of because of its size and location so far North on the HZ.

We used USA Transfers a couple of weeks ago and they were great.

    Enjoy your stay.

For fun, we tried the link on the Temptation website and received a reply back. $76.00 for two round trip. Way higher than what I have seen quoted on this site and Cancun Vacations, Tourism and Cancun, Mexico Travel Reviews - TripAdvisor Search for airport transfers.
I think there are good and bad experiences reported for all. Choose one that responds to you and answers all your questions. Get phone numbers, land line and cell, and reservation numbers. Try calling the number to make sure they work. Confirm your information with emails, print and take them with you.
Best of Luck to us all. Still not sure who we are going with. But they will be researched on this site and others for current experiences before we decide.

    USA Transfers

A couple of things about USA Transfers. They don't go thru the hotel zone strip to get to/from TTR. They head straight up north through the "mainland" and make a right when they get to the "old" town of cancun. TTR is a few hotels down that road. My driver said that there is a lot of construction going on through the hotel zone and he was saving at least a half hour by taking our route. If shared rides have to go through the hotel zone to drop others off, TTR guests lose. Also, when I almost bought beers for the ride to TTR outside the airport, he said do not get them there, he would stop at a "7-11" (mini-mart in a gas station), and I would pay $1 per beer instead of at least $5 outside the airport. That in itself paid for 1/3 the USA charge. They were great. The only downside is that I never got to see the hotel zone strip which MAYBE might have convinced us to leave the TTR complex if we would have seen interesting things that we may have wanted to go back to. Didn't have a problem not leaving the complex....never even made it to the liqour store.

    Are there no Taxi's

I thought you could just take a taxi when leaving the airport. It is only 2 miles away. Is this a stupid thought or are things ran different there than other places we have visited?
