I'm trying to figure out how much money to convert for my trip. I know I'll be paying for tips, excursions and nightclub fees. I'll probably find some nice jewelry and duty-free booze too. What other expenses are likely?
I budget $100 per day for a couple. If we go out to a club/day trip we go over that amount. If we stay in we stay under $100. I think I tip about $30 per day. Hope it helps.
rdubnpk I don't know if I was overly or underly generous but (sometimes to PK's chagrin) I tipped the following: Maid- $3 perday Waitresses at sexy pool- $1 per trip Margarittas at lunch (it is table service)- $3.00 Buffet (all they do is bring drinks and sometimes ignore you)- $0 to $2.00 Evening at the table service reataurants- $5-$10
I put together a minimum budget for our 7 day trip. Maid 7 nights 3.00 = 21.00 If they do special work I tip more Bartenders 7 days 5.00 = 35.00 Waiters 7 days 3.00 = 21.00 I usually tip more than this Airport going 20.00 = 20.00 Food and whatever Airport returning 20.00 = 20.00 Wife shopping 100.00= 100.00 Taxi to shopping "spoiled"= 20.00 she would get lost on the bus Rio's Steakhouse= 60.00 1 night of spoiling us, across the street Speciality Rest.= 20.00 Depends on how many nights we do it USA Transfer= 85.00 stopping at Walmart to buy stuff 30.00 Wife additional shopping= 100.00 spoiled again kids and grandkid stuff (junk) Additional tips= 100.00 because when I drink I am generous Total 562.00 Remember this is a minimum without excursions. I will probably take 700.00 cash and Ccards if needed..... I have not seen a breakdown on here, so I thought I would put mine here. Hope this helps Don
