I read somewhere (I can't for the life of me remember where or when) about having to leave a credit card imprint or cash deposit for incidental charges. Is this true? If so do they place a hold on any funds? Thanks, Nikki
I found where I read it....it was on Sunwing's website: Photo Identification and credit card or cash deposit are required at check-in for incidental charges. Did anybody else have the same 'no credit card' experience?
:daisy:Been, can't remember how many times. Never been asked for credit card details. And if ever we were, we would just tell them we haven't got one! Don't stress!
Never taken my CC # , something new ? A lot of resorts do. RE CC in Mexico , be sure to notify you CC company you will be traveling to Mexico or they may freeze your CC. I always bring a secondary low limit CC for incidentals in Mexico , ( and for CC purchases over the phone at home).
Last year , I used my debit card in the ATM in the hotel store.. It was immediately frozen after the transaction, and I had to deal with my banks fraud department. But the couldn't release my card until I actually presented it to them in person... So great information Donald
