Are the in room safes included in the price of the rooms? If not, how much do they run?

They use a code you choose yourself, so you don't have to worry about carrying a safe key around with you.

We probably won't have anything to put in other than passports, cash and iPads so size shouldn't be an issue. Thank you for the information.

Size is always a issue. You may buy that big ring she has always wanted.

Just came back today. I was able to fit a lot into the safe.

    13" MacBook
    DSLR with battery pack
    50 mm lens
    24-105 mm lens
    70-200 mm lens
    Speedlite and remote wireless triggers
    Passports and important papers
    2 iPhones
    2 watches
    2 pairs of sunglasses

I think for the normal human being, the safe should be plenty big enough for your gadgets and important documents.

Was there much use at the resort for the 70/200 lens (assume 2.8)?

And a lot of weight. Yeah, it's the 2.8 and it's a tank. I did use it, but not as much as I thought I would. Was cool to do boat pier shots from the shore or other piers, or if I wanted to compress the background, but never needed the low light capabilities of the 2.8 and if I wanted shallow depth of field, I had the 50mm 1.4, so I don't think it was worth the backache of slinging it over my shoulder for the journey. I'll leave it behind next time. Just not worth the added risk of damaging it.
