I'm sure it's been asked . . .

. . . .a thousand times, but things (and answers) change over time.

So, what are the nightclubs like in Cancun? We went to Coco Bongo in Playa a few years ago (check out our Mexico album) and really enjoyed it.

Coco, or Senor Frogs, or where? Is there a best night? Is there a worst night? What's a good number to have in your crowd? (I assume two is a little dicey, and 40 is a little unwieldy).

Any comments, tips, advice, invitations?

 

I've read somewhere here in the forum that the resort has nights that they take a group out to the different clubs. I don't remember which thread. My guess that would be the easiest way to see the clubs... Never been there, so no suggestions of my own as to which ones...

 

Our experience....

The first time we went to Cancun a couple years ago we stayed at the Riu. Nice place but most are tucked in by 10pm. Looking to Party we hit the town each night. First was Coco Bongos. We went on Friday and it was packed. A good mix of tourists and locals. We had a blast! Lisa got pulled from the crowd to dance solo on the catwalk. A highlight for sure! They put on a Great show. Would go back but not on a Fri. or Sat.
Next night we met new friends at Senor Frogs. More of a tavern than a club. It was festive but probably wouldnt go back. Left early, well Cancun early about 1am and wound up at an open air bar across from coco bongos and had the best time. At one point I asked the bartender what time they closed and he said 4(am). Lol at that point it was 4:30 and still packed and rocking! We returned several times but I cant remember the name. Its easy to find and you'll know it when they drop confetti from the ceiling every hour. I'm smiling thinking about how much fun we had there.

We went to Dady O's and liked it there best of all the Clubs. Great vibe and cool revolving dance floor. It's dark and sexy!

The City was under renovation but we heard it's the place to be on the weekend.

It's funny but the last 2 times at Temptations we've been quite content staying there at night. We would be interested in hitting a club if we get a group going!

The resort does... they post them each day. All inclusive leaving from the resort lobby around 10p. Coco Bongos is one of them and is definitely a must!

 

They take you to different ones depending on the day $50 to get you open bar I went for the first 5 or 6 years there but been staying at TTR the party has been good at Paty'O so no need to leave.

 

Why in the world would you go off resort??? They should be charging $50 for people to get into Paty-O! That's where the REAL party is

 

CocoBongos or Daddy O's..........are the only choices for us! We've enjoyed "private room" party's at both clubs! Daddy O's was just a little kinkier!

 

Now that has me curious! ! Do we get any more detail? !! : )

I've had fun at the clubs with the TTR staff in the past, but I agree that Paty 'O's beats them all hands down. The only time I leave the resort anymore is on the Boobs Cruise!
