Hello Everyone. I have a trip planned for the end of April. I would like the week to be mostly to relax but I would also like to go out and enjoy cancun.
There are so many tours/activities to choose from if you could only choose one which would it be? From what I have looked at I am leaning towards Xcaret.

We did a trip where you get person motorboats (two seaters). You go through a bay and river and out to the reef for some snorkeling with the fishies. It's a four hour trip and we really enjoyed it. It leaves right from the resort.

If you're only doing one thing, Xcaret is not a bad idea. It kind of gives you a taste of everything, flora, fauna, snorkeling, culture. Definitely stay for the night show!

One side tri would be spending a day over at Isla Murherez. Definetely try out the resort on the southern tip since you get food/drinks/snokelling/zip lines and plenty of relaxing all for one low price. Definetely recommend the trip.

I always love a day or night at Isla Mujeres. A nice boat ride over. Then rent a 4 person golf cart or a moped. Go out to North Beach, near Buho's Bar. Good place around Happy Hour time, decent bar food and snacks. Grab some sun on this beautiful sandy beach.

Tons of shopping and most streets are pedestrian only.

Explore the island. Go to Playa Lancheros for Tik n Chik, a whole fish, marinated in achiote, cooked over a wood flamed grill, and served on a platter with tortillas, etc for making into tacos, or just pull it off the bones and eat with your fingers. Usually about $80 pesos per person, but you can get by with 2 orders for 3, 3 for 4 ppl. Add an order of guacamole or some shrimp ceviche and you are good to go. THIS IS A MUST.

Another option for this tasty dish is at Playa Tiburon, which is just past the turtle farm. You will get a map when you rent the cart. This is a bit more atmosphere but both are great. They still don't know how to make a Margarita at this place.

If I stay over I usually stay at Xchel Beach Hotel, a condo hotel. on North Beach. I carefully book online and sometimes that rates are different since they are individually owned. Some rooms are better located and appointed than others. Insist you get what you paid for in terms of the view, etc.

    That would be my suggestion.

I always like the Jungle Tour (not an all day thing). Lots of fun!
