If you could change anything about TTR what would you change?

A new trip report got me thinking - TTR is an awesome place, the best resort I've found that caters to everything I want or need from a vacation...but if you could change anything about TTR what would you change?

For me, I'd fill in the sports pool, and in its place put a covered structure (but with open sides) that houses a huge hot tub like they have in Desire, a bar and space for DJ/dance area. I'd use that for games and partying when it rains!

Sports pool is only used for tequila volleyball and scuba lessons anyway. I'm sure everyone that uses it for late night dipping wouldn't mind replacing it with a huge Desire-like hot tub!

Wouldn't mind a water slide like Hedo. Now that is fun..

 

Haha so true. Maybe they should set up a slip n slide that someone going down loads themselves up with AIWC, who is then mysteriously 'clean' by the time they get to the end?

 

Hard call between better liquor options (Top shelf like Ciroc) and/or drink servers for non members to the beach and pool areas. Both of these are available at the resort I use to stay at in Cancun and have since abandoned in favor of TTR....but miss those amenities.

Get the pool chair situation sorted like they have at Desire. And reinstate the shades on the beach. Small things!

Please explain the pool chair situation at Desire. I'd really like to not stumble around at 6:00am still drunk finding a chair for us.

 

Not always - I talk to staff and I'm friendly, and I've been approached by drink servers both at the pool and the beach for drink service and I'm not a member.

Personally I don't care for 'top shelf' or bog standard liquor, it all tastes the same to me.

 

I would change the minds of the people who visit temptations to allow themselves to be fully satisfied and enjoy what is. There is no 7th floor.

Mostly it is what each of us makes of it, in the moments we have there.

Oh and as my grandmother often said "Yes dear you're right, this is not bologna. It is a chicken sandwhich so just be thankful and enjoy your damn lunch."

 

They have a guy (or guys) who allocate pool and beach chairs. Premier still get priority, fair enough, but you rock up, smile nicely, get allocated 2 chairs, he brings you towels. A small tip here and there and you are pretty much able to have your favourite spot all trip. If you don't turn up until lunch, it's pretty certain you won't get a great spot, and if you disappear for hours on end, don't be surprised if your chairs have been reallocated. Works like a dream!

Sometimes its the small things that would make everyone just a little bit happier -

And to buy another resort on the west-coast of Mexico. So bummed about losing the Cabos option.
