    WHERE WOULD I BE ? ? ? ?

I need a new trundle bed or a good used one and have zero success so far.

Does anyone have any good suggestions on where to look? Of course I tried Telebodega and then Azcue and neither store had ever heard of them.

So I want to let my fingers do the walking rather than just ride around to every store in town.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    TJ,

There is a Murphy Bed store in the shopping center on Uxmal where Blockbuster and Berlitz are located. I know Murphy beds and trundle beds aren't the same thing, but they might have other alternative types of bedding in that store. You never know until you ask, right??

    Good luck!

T.J. I have seen trundles at a small furniture store across from Plaza bonita/Mercado 28. I have always called it Lourdes, that may in fact be the name of the store. This store has been there for at least 18 years. The owners speak perfect English and are very helpful. If they do not have in stock they will suggest either having one built or special order.

I know someone will know the actual name of this store. Hope this helps.

    Susan and gr8,

Many thanks to both of you. I know both of those stores. The one by M28 is Muebles Lourdes and I ride by it all the time.

Hubby thinks the Spanish word for trundle bed is "cama enana". I think I've seen them in Sears or Liverpool too, though for quite a pretty penny.

    Have you tried MercadoLibre?

    Thanks CC,

I ran it through a translator and it came up "cama de ruedecilla".

I just did A's version and it came up "dwarfish bed"

But I have both written down and I am off to the mall, Lourdes and the one by Berlitz.

Have not tried Mercado Libre but maybe as a last resort.

    Thanks to all.

    UPDATE

    1. They have them at Muebles Lourdes across from Mercado 28. $7,700 plus mattress and plus a headboard if you want. Not quite what I had in mind. Maria Lourdes is the owner and very knowledgable. They make a lot of their products and have another location next to Telebodega on Lopez. Years ago they tried the ones where the bottom bed would spring up and lock, if you wanted the option of turning it into a double bed. With the humidity they had lots of rust problems.

    2. The Murphy bed store next to Berlitz on Uxmal is no mas. Store closed and currently vacant. You need to get out more Susan. Joking.

    3. None of the stores at Pza las Americas have anything at any price that remotely will work. At least not that I could find. But I did buy my daughter some nice birthday presents and look forward to spending that day with her, and Father's Day too when I am in Florida next weed.

Thanks to everyone helped me out with this question.

Wow - that's pricey for a trundle bed.

How about a nice air-mattress pulled out from under a twin bed. ;-)

That has the right look CC.

The only thing to make it perfect would be if the pull out part could pop up to the same height as the other matress so it could be used as a double bed.

    Thank youk
