Cathy and I got back on Thursday and the resort was around 40% capacity. The resort had to make some changes to the restaurant schedules to accomodate the low numbers. The buffet (Embarcadero) is only open for breakfast. The Tex-Mex (Margaritas) is open for lunch as served or buffet snack. The other restaurants were open for dinner and no reservations were necessary but there was a dress code was in effect for the Italian (Il Piacere) and Chinese (Village Wok). Shoes ( no sandals or flip flops) and long pants required for men. It worked well and everyone got a chance to try all the restaurants. We never had to wait for a table. During the day, the one difference we noticed around the pool was that we could always get a chair without having to come down and reserve it at 7am. The sexy pool was still a busy and fun place all day. The activities guys had a little difficulty getting enough people together for team activities like beach volleyball but were able to get enough participants for most of the other games. The evening activities were somewhat sparsely attended but there was always a good crowd at Paddy-Os at night. We had a great time as usual and met many fun, new and old friends each day. All in all, low numbers don't mean low expectations. Have a great time!
good to know! We are glad to see these answers as we are going in 18 days and are hoping for lots of fun people! (not that we are counting...)
