Supposed to arrive in cancun Tues(10th). How did Ida effect cancun(or is it still to early to tell)? any damage, electricity out, or beaches messed up? very anxious to hear!
Hurricane Ida was a bit of a non event here - not even raining for most of the day and winds no more than 15mph downtown. In fact, it's probably the best days weather we've had in 5 days. Not too sure on the status of the beaches, most places there wasnt much beach to begin with anyway. Reports are suggesting that the recent beach recovery work has pretty much been undone by the storm which is a shame. Keep an eye on our Living in Cancun forum, lots of locals posting updates there.
