Are words never said. We are looking to go back in Feb but wow its insulting when searching Expedia. 6 nights near $2,600 (which is OK, more than last couple trips but whatever) but then select your flights - the first and only no extra $ charge is 15hrs. 15hrs. Choice 2 is and extra $37 which actually is a red eye, it gets better - pay for 6 and only get 5 nights in hotel. Its an extra $140ish each to get realistic 6.5 hrs transit time.

Be sure and thank the next congressman you bump into, you know the ass-hats that let the big airlines merge leaving just about zero competition. Record profits and prices/fees continue climbing while we are paying a $1.00 per gal of gas over last month or so. And wow TTR is booking solid lately, weird. We got a gift of 6 nights of the kids going with their dad, we scrambled trying to get down for new year's eve. no chance. Ok I am done.

Sorry to hear your having problems booking. We had to book months ago to get our two dates. We tried booking another date but like you couldn't. With the impending renovation - everyone wants to get a trip in before that happens. People are unsure what will happen and whether the resorts adult oriented nature will change. This means the hotel is getting booked solid - even over booked.

Try searching other airlines. I found Spirit for $750 RT....way less than the $1700 everyone else charged. And Alpharooms all the way for the rooms. I'm paying $110 a night for feb.

Looking for flights one or two months out, you'll see higher prices. We looked at an early December trip back in October, but the flights were too high. We booked our May trip in October and got really good nonstop flights cheap. It's supply and demand...not fuel prices that drives what you're seeing with airfare.
